Description

There were at least two main reasons I wanted to draw this.
I wanted to create a middle-ground between the form-fitting uniforms that enhance my character's features and the heavier types of all-concealing armor that most often include, fixed visors. This armor offers less protection, but a whole lot more mobility while at least designed to lessen blunt blows and deflect some sharp, stabbing attacks as well.

I also wanted to design some sort of armor that can be worn by women, still sort of sexy, but a lot more protective than the completely open designs or the nonsensical "boob-cup" armor; which, frankly, would direct all force of any blow to the chest, directly at the space between said boobs = the sternum, a vital point of the human anatomy.

This armor instead, fully conceals the breasts (I know, boooooo and all that) but is also made up of sharp, interlocking plates that I think, would deflect many a direct hit to this area and also, wouldn't be all that pleasant to punch either, protecting both the chest and belly.

You can note that the inner side of Sim's thighs here, are bare and that's just me being a silly perv of course, but it fits with the sense that if she were given armor, I'm sure she wouldn't be permitted to wear much under it (let's just say, she and her superiors don't get along because unlike them, she is not a fascist) but this wouldn't be the case with other soldiers. Also, just because I designed it mainly around women and female-features, doesn't mean that guys can't wear it too, the other armor-designs are unisex, as should this be.

The loin-cloth design at the crotch (and unseen, at the butt) is a compromise to keep mobility and offer protection, its up to the individual soldier to decide what to wear under the armor for added protection / comfort and since one might be expected to wear this for quite long treks across sandy wastelands, I can see where one would sacrifice some protection for sake of comfort.
I should also draw a couple of additions someday, as another standard component I didn't add this time, is a cloak and hood that fits over the collar, by means of a separate ring - and a helmet without integrated sensors and cameras like the heavier armor designs have.

I don't have much to say about the sword; generally they're just nicknamed "can-openers" because of the weight they have shifted to the tip that's meant to dig into lesser armor and between segments at joints and such and then, the thick spine of the sword, allows it to pry, dig and bend, these areas open or just pierce into them.
